Finishing Backstage, Car Crashes & Swapmeets

In the studio it's so cold that I turn on the heat gun and hang it from a nail. If you hear that the studio had burnt down then it's probably that or the latex oven that's set to full and door-less. ...
Static Electricity, M&M and Galahs
Tuesday April 14 2009
Have I told you about the static electricity in the building? With the dry heat, humble reader, the static comes out of the walls like "brown wood roaches onto a bin crudely made by hanging a plastic bag on a nail, that, yes I did say I was going to put out - but c'mon baby - I’m relaxing"...
Hot Glue, Scene 13 and being daunted...
Friday September 5 2008
Ahh Perth… sunny, dry and far from where you have to be in 10 mins... yes I might concede that the public transport system takes a little longer but meh.. So for the last 7 months I’ve been in Melbourne doing some guff and bunk on a stop- mo feature which...

Thursday May 3 2007
Professor Pebbles is technically finished. I believe all parties have signed off on it, thus making the film "in the can". We have been knocked back from two festivals that would have really been nice to get into. Sydney picked us up which is good...
Jacob and I are heading to Annecy for the market and then the states for a spin. Darcy Prendergast is hooking up with us in Anency who is an Australian Stopmo kinda chap. We will talk about tie down methods and erm.. other items of animation consequence.
Did I mention Cedric and Hope? So far it's coming along about the same pace as the other films, perhaps a little slower. So either we are working at such a fevered pitch that our motion and speed is sending us back in time to when we haven't done anything or our work ethic is the terrible like (place simile here). But maybe we are creating the building blocks of stuff and we assemble which will be fast. But is this report about hearsay?
Steve C needed rope for his awesome (repeat awesome) trebuchet. I purchased some from the Artesania Latina company which comes from South America but it wasn't looking so hot colour wise. Twas thinking of heading down to SA to track down some decently scaled rope for Steves trebuchet but instead Steve made a rope machine. Now we can make rope. Just like the starving raccoons of 1095. Yesterday he made some nice rope from jute. Delicious jute...
